
Curtis B is definitely a talented singer and an energetic performing sensation. When it comes to audience appeal and spell binding stage performances he is an individual that should not be under estimated. He might be up and coming but he packs a memorable musical punch.
Born in Trinidad & Tobago in the small town of Gasparillo, Curtis B started singing in elementary school at the tender age of 9 years old. This paved the way for him to participate in many competitions at an early age and he was always in the winner¡¯s circle.
Curtis B¡¯s love for music led him to make major appearances at various venues. Curtis competed in the Caribbean¡¯s most prestigious TV talent show known as ¡°Party Time.¡± His performances had the audience mesmerized for the duration of competition. Curtis B commanded the stage and executed his performance with consummate skill and professionalism. This led to First place in the preliminary round, 1st in the semifinals and 2nd in the finals. He performed a ballad which displayed his strong vocal talent of this upcoming artist. His delivery of the song ¡°Shower Me with Your Love¡± wowed the hearts of the audience and judges. This launched his singing career to higher level and he was ready for the challenge. His versatility in many musical genres is noticeably unmatched by others.
His talent led him to perform with many of Trinidad and Tobago¡¯s top soca bands such as Volts Express, Blue Ventures, and Fire Flight. He gained much needed international exposure when he had the opportunity of touring with these groups while developing name recognition.
During this time he also did guess appearances with other top ranking bands from Trinidad and Tobago such as Traffic, Chandelier and Jamaica¡¯s own internationally famous soca band Byron Lee and the Dragonaires.
Curtis also had the opportunity of performing with renowned singers like the Mighty Sparrow, Machel Montano, Sugar Aloes, Calypso Rose, Rupee, Red Plastic Bag, Ronnie McIntosh, Destra Garcia, Sherwin Winchester, Dil-E-Nadan and many more.
Upon migrating to Canada he further pursued his career and team up with producer Ozzie Gurley and his band ¡°The Relatives¡±, which was famous of producing the international hit songs ¡°Who Let the Dogs Out¡± and ¡°Follow The Leader¡± and many more. Curtis became the lead vocalist with the band and went on to sing for 3 years doing SOCA, R&B, REGGAE, RAP and was commended for his ability to ¡°Free Style.¡± He toured with ¡°The Relatives¡± during this period doing live shows across North America.
Lately Curtis decided to pursue a career as a solo artist while he maintains excellent relations with local and international bands with which he does special appearances.
