Moses Revolution was launched on October 27 2001, while it may be reasonable to assume we are in our infant stage in terms of the short period we have been together as a band, our musicians collectively have over 70 years in the music industry.
Our Main Objective as a Toronto based professional ensemble is our capability to play all types of music specializing in caribbean rhythms. Our repertoire is versatile consisting of calypso, reggae, zouk, latin, rapso, r&b, calypso jazz, and old skool. Our professional musicians originate from various Caribbean islands and North America. As a band we are fortunate to draw from their experiences to produce our unique sound.
The root of our music lies in the infectious rhythmic drum
patterns seasoned with pulsating bass lines complimented with a solid horn
section together with harmonious vocals. We have produced one cd in 2002 which
was nominated for the Canadian Reggae Music Awards and also won Yellows the
2002 Canadian Soca Monarch. Due to the increase demand for the band especially
at the smaller club venues and private functions the band can be contracted to
a smaller unit to fit your budget.
Our latest addition to the band is Shayne Bailey best known for her monster hit ¡°Leggo meh man¡±
Moses Revolution has performed at several major cultural festivals and night spots across Canada, including Calgary, Edmonton,Montreal, Ottawa, the Toronto Street festival, The C.N.E. coliseum, the Bamboo, The Harbour Front, The Olympic Island, and the Caribana Parade.
